Oliver Brooke-Walder is a specialist in Modern British Art. The genesis of his art career was his exposure to a painting of the Garden of Eden by Thomas Cole in an exhibition at the National Gallery in 2018. Having been so moved by the painting, he was left with a conviction that art dealing was to be his chosen career. After gradually trading up from a small Scottish landscape painting to having a raft of museum quality Modern British Paintings and Works on Paper, he then founded Brooke-Walder Gallery on Duke Street St James's in April 2024.
Since then, the Gallery has held a number of noteable exhibitions:
Opening Exhibition - Borough Group
Nissa Nishikawa and 1950's British Abstraction: A dialogue of Forms and Expression
Lilian Holt - Retrospective in Charcoal and Oil
Keith Vaughan - Figures and Lanscapes
